Job Title: Enrichment Program Specialist

Location: Various locations throughout Orange County, Riverside, Los Angeles, and San Diego (travel required)

Compensation: $20 per hour

Employment Type: Part-time/Temporary (4 to 16-week programs, with potential for 10-30 hours/week)

Job Description:

Champs Universal, a K-12 education organization, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated instructors for our STEM After School and Camp programs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach classes on innovative topics such as Dungeons and Dragons, Minecraft History and Archery. Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Delivery: Facilitate and lead enrichment activities and programs in accordance with established curriculum and guidelines.

  • Travel: Drive to different set locations to conduct programs. Travel is around, LA, Orange county, Riverside and some San Diego

  • Participant Engagement: Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all participants. Encourage active participation and ensure a positive experience.

  • Safety: Maintain a safe environment for all participants, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

  • Communication: Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and site coordinators. Provide updates and feedback as needed.

  • Setup and Cleanup: Prepare the program space before sessions and clean up after sessions. Ensure all materials and equipment are properly maintained.

  • Attendance and Reporting: Track attendance and provide accurate reports on program activities and participant progress.

  • Project Guidance: Instruct classes and lead students in independent design projects.

  • Staff Meetings: Attend staff meetings and curriculum training.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Teaching or tutoring experience is preferred; must have experience working with youth in educational settings.

  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to engage and inspire participants. Bright, engaging, and dynamic presence in front of the classroom.

  • Classroom Management: Ability to manage the classroom effectively and maintain a positive learning environment for students.

  • Archery Certification: Pass USA Archery Instructor Course (already certified is a plus).

  • Commitment: Able to commit for at least 16 weeks.

  • First Aid/CPR: Certification is a plus.

  • Transportation: Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Willingness to travel to various locations.

  • Driving Record: Clean driving record required.

  • Background Check: Ability to pass a Live Scan background check.

  • Training: Willingness to complete California-mandated child safety training.
